Child's Play Technologies partnered with Intrinsic Value Chain Solutions to provide a better internet presence. As a growing company, initial web site redesign and search engine enhancement was requested.

Theory to Practice
An initial assessment of all internet capabilities was analyzed including:

• Hosting Capabilities
  An analysis of the existing hosting company revealed all technologies needed were available for development. Initial requests included validating FrontPage extensions which matched client requests to use FrontPage.
  
  
• Hosting Costs
  Child's Play Technologies assessed the costs and found hosting costs to be comparable to Child's Play Technologies hosting services. Until expected internet traffic growth is acquired did we suggest migrating to hosting with Child's Play Technologies with expected discounts comparable to the initial cost of hosting.
  
  
• Site Speed
  The original site had been created by converting a powerpoint presentation to HTML. The size of the home page was approximately 350k with an approximate download time of one minute 8 seconds on a 28.8k modem. All sub pages reflected similar characteristics.
  
  The New site design reduced the file size by 66% or under 100k per file size, giving an approximate download time of 23 seconds on a 28.8k modem.
  
  
• Site Design
  The goal of the site design was to create a more professional look. To create a more professional look, we focused on the usability, site map, page layout, content, and creative page design.
  
  To provide easier future enhancementes, the entire site is a template within FrontPage which utilizes a custom style sheet.
  
  
• Search Engine Enhancement
  Search engine enhancement is it's own small project. Conversations with Intrinsic Value Chain revealed the search engine goals. We took the company goals, client perspectives and integrated these keywords and phrases in the content and code. After all pages contained custom enhancements, the site pages were submitted to all major search engines.
  
  In order to further enhance engine rankings, we created a base report of search engine rankings. Each month a new ranking report is compiled for comparison. By seeing rank changes on each search engine we can further enhance the rankings.
